St. Patrick’s Day was over two weeks ago, but once again, the streets of Detroit are beginning to fill with folks dressed in green.
This time around it’s Spartan green, as Michigan State University’s fans begin to make the Final Four pilgrimage.
According to the local media machine, every hotel room from here to Ann Arbor was already booked months ago. Now the estimates are that an additional 50,000+ people will be in Detroit this weekend because MSU is in the tournament.
I’ve been told by some folks in the know that the NCAA Final Four tournament is nearly as big as the Super Bowl. If you’re within driving distance, I suggest making a trip into town over the weekend to check out the festivities. It’d be a shame to miss.
