Detroit Tigers Players Remember the 1984 Season

I can’t say enough nice things about Jerry Lewis, the director of the Detroit Tigers’ Fantasy Camps.  Jerry is the classiest guy working in the organization and everyone who knows him would tell you the same thing.

This video is from this year’s Fantasy Camp in Lakeland, Florida which paid tribute to the 25th anniversary of the 1984 Detroit Tigers championship.  It gives a great historical documentation of our ’84 heroes, including Willie Hernandez, Lou Whitaker, Darrell Evans, Tom Brookens, and many others.

I was at the 08 Fantasy Weekend (a 3 day version of the full camp played at Comerica in the summer) and Rozema was one of the coaches. What a fun time the full week camp must have been!

I have attended two Detroit Tigers Fantasy Camps and Jerry Lewis and his staff do a tremendous job. You never want the week to end. Jon Warden with his Kangaroo Court every morning and a day full of Tigers baseball truly makes this the best Fantasy Camp in baseball. Even the guard at the Yankees spring training facility told us that the Tigers Fantasy Camp was the best. Thanks Jerry. I can’t wait to bring my daughter.
