The holidays are rapidly approaching and there are still plenty of orders that will be placed in the remaining days. We take our commitment to ship your orders in a timely manner very seriously. We know it’s important that they arrive in time for the holidays.
We also strive to give you the best shipping options at the lowest cost. Here are some tips for expedited shipping services offered by Detroit Athletic Co.:
1) USPS EXPRESS MAIL: A next day shipping service provided by the U.S. Postal Service that delivers on weekends. This is a great option for most rush orders outside of Michigan. It’s cheaper than UPS Air and if, for example, you order on a Friday, you’ll have your order on Saturday. With UPS Next Day Air, a Friday order will be delivered on Monday.
2) USPS PRIORITY MAIL: If you live in lower Michigan, USPS Priority Mail is a fast, cost-effective shipping method as most orders arrive within one to two days. If you live, say, in Ann Arbor and are ordering on a Saturday, your order (unless it is a name & number jersey) will ship the same day and will arrive on Monday. If, on the other hand, you select UPS Next Day Air on Saturday, the order will not ship until Monday and will arrive on Tuesday. USPS Priority Mail, in this instance, is the best option.
3) UPS Expedited Shipping: The UPS expedited shipping option names can be deceiving. For example, 3-Day Select does not mean that the package will arrive in exactly three days. If the order is placed on a Friday and ships 3-Day Select, it will not arrive to its destination until Wednesday. It will actually take five days instead of three. UPS does not count weekends as delivery days.
4) Custom Jersey Orders: If you are ordering a jersey that includes a name and number on the back, it will take an extra few days for the jersey to ship. We are extremely efficient at cranking out custom jerseys, but they still require additional time. AT THIS TIME, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT YOUR NAME AND NUMBER LETTERED JERSEY ORDER WILL BE RECEIVED BY YOU IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. If you are ordering a custom jersey between now and the holidays, we highly recommend selecting an expedited shipping method like USPS Express Mail. We will do our best to get lettered jerseys shipped as soon as possible.
