June 3, 1918 at Navin Field: Hub Leonard of the Boston Red Sox no-hits the Tigers, 5-0.

June 3, 1947 at Briggs Stadium: Ty Tyson handles the first TV broadcast of a Tigers game, a 3-0 loss to the New York Yankees. At the time, there are only 3,000 television sets in the Detroit area.
