Who has the top ten picks of the 2019 NFL Draft?

The NFL Draft is an annual spectacle that illustrates how crazy America is for football.

The 2019 National Football League Draft will take place on April 25, 2019.

The order has been set, based on the final standings of the 2018 NFL season. Here’s the draft order for the top ten picks in the 2019 NFL Draft:

  1. 1. Arizona Cardinals
  2. 2. San Francisco 49ers
  3. 3. New York Jets
  4. 4. Oakland Raiders
  5. 5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  6. 6. New York Giants
  7. 7. Jacksonville Jaguars
  8. 8. Detroit Lions
  9. 9. Denver Broncos
  10. 10. Buffalo Bills

The Detroit Lions will pick 8th, assuming they stay in that slot and don’t trade up or down. Thus far in the Bob Quinn era, the Lions have not been hesitant to trade picks and wiggle their way around the draft board.

Most experts predict the Lions will draft a defensive player, either a defensive lineman or a cornerback.

The enigmatic Ziggy Ansah is sure to bolt Detroit via free agency, and given his up-and-down career, that’s not a bad thing. The Lions need a pass rusher who can play more than a few downs every quarter.

The 2019 draft class has several good defensive linemen, but several teams in front of Detroit will grab some of them. Still, a talented lineman (or corner) will be available for Quinn.

An interesting option is Rashan Gary from the University of Michigan. Gary is a talented lineman but he didn’t quite live up to his potential in Ann Arbor. However, he’s considered a top ten pick and could be there when the Lions are on the clock at #8.
